Parnia Shokri, BSc.

Parnia is an electrical and computer engineering master’s student at the University of Calgary. Her main areas of research include computer vision and machine learning, and their use cases in robotics. She has a strong interest in the space industry, and her team was the overall winner at the Canadian Space Agency’s Space Apps Challenge in 2019. Parnia also develops algorithms for autonomous robots for search and rescue, forest and environment inspection, and more by using machine learning and computer vision. She won first place in the International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competition in 2016.
