Dr. Wendy Okolo, PhD

Dr. Wendy A. Okolo is an aerospace engineering researcher in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA’s Ames Research Center. Her focus is in systems health monitoring and control-systems design with applications to air and space components, vehicles, and systems.

Professor Andrew E. Pelling, PhD

Scientist, professor, entrepreneur, and TED Senior Fellow, Andrew Pelling has built a career on unapologetic curiosity, creativity, and serendipity. He is a professor and the Canada Research Chair in Experimental Cell Mechanics at the University of Ottawa, where he founded and directs a curiosity-driven research lab that brings together artists, scientists, social scientists, and engineers.

      Bahareh is a PhD student in the geomatics engineering department at the University of Calgary.

      Amin has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in computer engineering, and he has more than 10 years of experience in robotics, embedded firmware and software development, and image processing.

        Matthew Oliver is the Deputy Registrar and Chief Regulatory Officer of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. Matt served in the Canadian Forces for 20 years as an aerospace engineer.

Passionate about training and coaching, Eddy has conducted numerous workshops for business professionals and university students.

          Susan Ancel, P.Eng.

          Susan Ancel is the Director of Stormwater Strategies for EPCOR. Her primary focus is developing integrated resource plans for stormwater management and capital and operational risk-mitigation planning, as well as building awareness of the inter-relationships between utilities, insurance, disaster-response agencies, and the public in preparing and responding to changing stormwater risks in the community.

            Tom Wilson

            On November 16, 2008, Tom Wilson survived a violent and devastating plane crash, witnessing the death of seven of his friends and coworkers. Tom has a unique and unlikely story of survival from that day, but his story does not end there. After a long and difficult physical and emotional recovery, Tom made it his passion to understand the actions and behaviours, including his own, that allowed the crash to happen.
